The debut of
Death Stranding is going to be one of the biggest gaming events of the decade as it will be the first game made by Hideo Kojima after his departure from Konami, the publisher of the
Metal Gear Solid series. After the major support from Sony, creating his own studio and casting Mads Mikkelsen, Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro in the main roles, the expectations are high.
Reedus recently had an opportunity to talk about the project during the B&H podcast. In the interview, the actor was asked about his opinions on Kojima and the ambitious game. "The concept is so mind-blowing, because it’s not like, you know, ‘kill everybody and win the game’, it’s a connecting thing. It’s like the opposite. And, you know, it’s so ahead of its time. And there’s elements of social media in it, and the idea is that – you know, you have so many games, and so many parts of millennial culture I guess, is being alone in a room. And you lose physical contact with people. This is after that and the re-establishing of that physical contact.”
Reedus also ensured fans that we will do everything for Kojima during and after the long production of Death Stranding. The game doesn't have a release date yet, but we will hopefully learn some juicy details about Kojima's next project at this year's E3.
