Concrete Genie is an action-adventure game that was initially revealed during the Paris Games Week in 2017. The game is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and published by in-house studio Pixelopus.
As per the game's synopsis,
Concrete Genie will see players taking on the role of a teenager named Ash, who is constantly bullied by his peers and who chooses to escape his troubled life by painting the walls of Denska; his abandoned hometown.
Pixelopus has really done a wonderful job with the game's art style, making it look almost as if it was a movie made using stop-motion animation. Coupled with the colourful environments once players begin painting the walls of the desolated town,
Concrete Genie definitely looks like a work of art in and of itself.
Take a look at the artistic new story trailer for the game:
Concrete Genie is a game about a bullied teenager named Ash, who escapes his troubles by painting spectacular living landscapes and mischievous creatures throughout his abandoned hometown of Denska. As he masters this magical paint, he discovers it can purify Denska’s polluted walls.
Concrete Genie is expected to release, exclusively for the PlayStation 4, in fall of 2019.
