The third-person shooter, Earth Defense Force, made quite an impression in last year's Tokyo Game Show. Iron Rain is being developed by Yukes, a studio based in Osaka, best known for their work with the WWE and UFC games. In this game you have to work together to take out aliens, colonies and massive monsters falling from the sky.

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain was expected to hit shelves this year but now it's been delayed to some point in 2019. In the game's demo there are four playable characters and the enemies are more aggressive, the changes coming to this game are tweaked in better ways. Perhaps it is for the best to give the developer more time to perfect their project.

The game's visuals look better, the environments are not flat and the explosions have nice lighting effects. Ryu Oyama is the artist for the game, he is designing many things for Iron Rain

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain was initially announced for a 2018 release window, but it will now release in 2019 for PlayStation 4.
