This Wednesday was the highly anticipated Playstation 5 Showcase, in which creators of the console and the games that will be releasing on it come together to discuss the near future. While there had been buzz and chatter over what could be coming, one of the most exciting reveals came from a franchise that has been around almost as long as the Playstation itself!

Final Fantasy XVI is the next main installment in the long-running game franchise and brings back elements of the franchise that fans both know and love. From chocobos to dragoons, the sprint of Final Fantasy is littered throughout the trailer. However, there seem to be some changes that could take place in the overall gameplay.

The franchise has always been known for commanding a party of friends, each with different abilities; however, the trailer seems to tease the possibility that this could be a solo adventure! With the FF XIV duo of Naoki Yoshida and Hiroshi Takai working on the project, it is hard to tell exactly how different this installment will be.

As of now, the game is confirmed as a PS5 exclusive but also promises to release the title on PC. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new game, and don't forget to check out the stellar new trailer!
