Check out this full list of E3 2016 exclusives for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PS4:
-
Sony PlayStation 4 Neo (4K) - it seems that both consoles are neck and neck in the race to release 4K TV compatible consoles. Where Microsoft has the Xbox One Scorpio, Sony plans on releasing its own 4k TV compatible console, the Neo. The Neo was not shown at E3 2016 but there was a lot of chatter about what its existence means for the lifecycle of the PS4. Will developers suddenly stop making games for the base model PS4 and only make games for the Neo? Not so, said Sony Global CEO Andrew House and Studios President Shuhei Yoshida. They both assured that the lifecycle of the PS4 has not been altered by the announcement of the Neo and that gamers will simply have to choose whether they want the basic PS4 experience (standard graphics) or Neo (4K graphics).
-
Crash Bandicoot Remastered Collection - with the 20th Anniversary of the iconic franchise, Sony is remastering Crash Bandicoot (1996), Cortex Strikes Back (1997) and Warped (1998). All three games will be bundled together for release in 2017. It was also revealed that Crash would be appearing in the upcoming, Skylanders Imaginator (October 2016).

Detroit: Become Human - the game began life as a 2013 PS3 demo from Quantic Dream known as Kara and has evolved into the highly anticipated Detroit: Become Human. It's is still in development and currently without a release date but the Blade Runner themes of the game have more than a few PlayStation owners eagerly awaiting news updates.

Days Gone - zombies are all the rage these days. If you were looking for a little more adventure than what's delivered in Telltale's choice-based Walking Dead episodes then Days Gone might be the game for you. The open-world plot of the SIE Bend Studio action-adventure game, follows Deacon St. John (Sam Witwer) in a third-person perspective as the former Bike gang member traverse a zombie-torn Pacific Northwest, attempting to escape from past demons. No word on a release date just yet but stay tuned.

Death Stranding - Hideo Kojima is back and he appears to be in top form. Following his much-publicized departure from Konami, he's set up Kojima Productions at Sony and re-teamed with Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) for a mysterious new game. We're not even sure what genre this game falls under but it definitely generated a ton of buzz at E3.

God of War - Kratos is back and it appears he's still as deadly as ever. It appears that he's somehow survived the ending of God of War 3 and has settled down in Norse territory and started a family. What do you make of his son, who appears to have inherited his father's god-like abilities? And where's his mother? Lots of questions remain about the new project but a new God of War game more than guarantees a few Microsoft converts.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - Currently set for release on February 28, 2017, gamers will be able to take control of a Aloy, a female hunter who eke out survival a 1,000 in the future. It's a drastically different world as the post-apocalyptic landscape is dominated by robotic dinosaurs and other mechanized creatures. The first IP from Guerrilla Games since Killzone (2014), the game will feature a dynamic weather system and day-night cycle.

The Last Guardian - In development since 2007, there's been no shortage of hype regarding this title but fans were starting to get a little impatient for a release date. Well, that was the past and the Fumito Ueda (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus) directed action-adventure game will ship worldwide this October. After such a long wait, action-adventure fans can hardly contain their excitement. However, the select bloggers given a hands-on demo session at E3 all walked away with one cautionary reaction: the game's long development process never made the graphics jump from PS3 to PS4. Will strong storytelling from Ueda be enough to overcome this handicap?
-
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (PS VR Support) - this game is probably not for the faint of heart. Though Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a multiplatform release from EA, VR support is only available on the PlayStation.
