At this point, if you own a PlayStation 4 and haven't played Ghost of Tsushima, you're doing yourself a pretty huge disservice, since you are missing out on one of the best titles the console has to offer, as well as one of, if not, the best video games developer Sucker Punch has delivered.
Going over some of the factual data in regards to Sucker Punch's critically acclaimed title, we know that Ghost of Tsushima — with over an impressive 24 million copies sold — is now the fastest-selling original PlayStation 4 intellectual property; beating out Bend Studio and Kojima Productions' Days Gone and Death Stranding, respectively.
Ghost of Tsushima has also been revealed to be the second best-selling first party PlayStation title in Japan, and trailing only behind Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed, and insanely popular MARVEL's Spider-Man, which is quite a feat considering the popularity of the beloved wall-crawler.
Again, this is quite impressive considering the Spider-Man character has been around for almost 60 years, and Ghost of Tsuhima is a brand-new intellectual property; both franchises going toe to toe on the PlayStation 4, which is already one of the best-selling consoles of all time. Quite the competition.
NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella has recently shared information regarding Ghost of Tsushima's sales in the United States, and the data collected has revealed that the recently released title was, unsurprisingly, July's best-selling title, and the 5th best-selling game year-to-date.
Top top it all off, this information has also revealed that the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima has now become Sucker Punch's fastest-selling game in history by surpassing InFamous: Second Son; the previous record holder that was also released on PlayStation 4. Seriously, play this game.
