With every bit of new information that we get about Camouflaj and MARVEL Games' upcoming MARVEL's Iron Man VR, the more excited mainstream players and fans of the Armoured Avenger get for this title. It really does seem like it will be quite the experience, giving players the opportunity to step in Tony Stark's shoes.
PlayStation VR players have already had the chance to try out MARVEL's Iron Man VR for themselves, and the consensus is that it really is an experience like none other; an experience that now has them wanting for the 3rd of July to come sooner so they can play the full game.
In a recent interview, Camouflaj's Ryan Darcey, Game Designer for MARVEL's Iron Man VR, has promised that the game will give players a true AAA experience and that this is not just another tech demo, and one of the main reasons is the fact that they've given players full range of motion.
"[One of the] key areas we've spoken a lot about is the freedom of flight. I think that's something that’s super unique to our game, especially with PSVR. The idea that you can turn a full 360 degrees and have that freedom, and then walking away from the game feeling super comfortable, and feeling like Iron Man. I genuinely believe that that freedom is something that we really push forward in the VR space,” explained Darcey.
Another important factor that separates MARVEL's Iron Man VR is the emphasis the developers have put on telling a proper story that isn't just there as an afterthought, as Darcey reveals that it is a meaningful one.
"In addition, we put a big emphasis on making sure that we're telling a meaningful story. The interactive cinematics, character development and writing… these are all things that we put a lot of energy into, that, in my opinion, really elevates the game to that true AAA quality but in VR, that I think a lot of players have been waiting for. Having something that is the complete package and not just a mere tech demo."
This is really exciting news for those who have been anticipating the release of MARVEL's Iron Man VR. Now, all we have to do is patiently wait until the game finally becomes available early in July, and see for ourselves if Camouflaj actually managed to deliver what they've promised.
Tony Stark has retired from making weapons and instead creates technology used to battle evil as Iron Man. After several years as a world-famous Super Hero, Tony is attacked by the mysterious Ghost, a hacker and anti-corporate activist who repurposes old Stark Industries weapons. In her efforts to topple his empire, Ghost attacks Stark’s corporate locations around the world, leading to ever-escalating stakes and a final showdown.
MARVEL's Iron Man VR is expected to release for PlayStation VR on the 3rd of July.
