When developer Camouflaj and Marvel Games announced MARVEL's Iron Man VR, in March of last year, the reception the announcement trailer got was somewhat mixed. Some fans of the character were hoping a different kind of game, while others were excited to actually get a virtual Iron Man experience.
The more information the developers have revealed about the game, the more excited fans of MARVEL's iconic character have gotten; after all, they will get to be Iron Man in what seems to be an incredibly immersive VR experience.
Just last week, Camouflaj and PlayStation surprised players by announcing that a playable demo for MARVEL's Iron Man VR was going to be releasing on the same day of the announcement; giving fans a chance to try out the game's opening missions and some flight challenges.
Unsurprisingly, those who were able to play the demo for the game were left pleasantly surprised with the fantastic work that developer Camouflaj has done, and are now counting the days until MARVEL's Iron Man VR finally launches.
Today Camouflaj has got some great news to share, as they have proudly announced that MARVEL's Iron Man VR has gone gold and is now finally ready to begin shipping. This also means that the game will not be delayed, so players will be able to suit up as the Armoured Avenger on the 3rd of July.
Tony Stark has retired from making weapons and instead creates technology used to battle evil as Iron Man. After several years as a world-famous Super Hero, Tony is attacked by the mysterious Ghost, a hacker and anti-corporate activist who repurposes old Stark Industries weapons. In her efforts to topple his empire, Ghost attacks Stark’s corporate locations around the world, leading to ever-escalating stakes and a final showdown.
MARVEL's Iron Man VR is expected to release for PlayStation VR on the 3rd of July.
