During today's special PlayStation 5 presentation, Sony and Insomniac Games took the opportunity to release a brand-new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated spin-off to MARVEL's Spider-Man, which is now featuring Miles Morales as its main protagonist.
MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales was announced in June of this year, and it was revealed to be a spin-off that is comparable to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in both scope and concept; a spin-off to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End that is not quite as long as the game it stems for, but still a pretty lengthy adventure worth playing.
Today we got an action-packed gameplay trailer that gives us a new look at the snowy city of New York, and reveals a few interesting details about Miles himself; like, for instance, the fact that his friend Ganke already knows about his powers and superhero identity.
Gameplay wise, MARVEL's Spider-Man is borrowing a tonne of elements seen in the original MARVEL's Spider-Man, although some moves are brand-new, since Miles was bitten by a different spider than the one that bit Peter Parker, and this spider gave him some unique abilities that Peter doesn't have.
Unfortunately — or at least as of this writing, since it may be revealed once the presentation is over — the developers at Insomniac Games didn't reveal when the game will be released, although they keep reassuring players that it will be at some point this Holiday.
Take a look:
MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is expected to launch this Holiday exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
