There's a new special event quest in Monster Hunter: World that, if completed, will reward you with some crossover armor from Street Fighter V. And although the quest is technically easy to complete, there are some special requirements that must be met first.
For starters, to actually receive the special quest, which is called "Down the Dark, Muddy Path," you must first be playing on PlayStation 4 and you have have save data for Street Fighter V or Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. If you meet those requirements you can accept the special event quest Down the Dark Muddy Path.
The quest itself is actually pretty easy. It's a three-star mission that requires a Hunter Rank of 3 or higher, and all you have to do is slay a Barroth. Complete the mission and you'll be rewarded with items to craft the Ryu armor set which giver your hunter the appearance of the iconic Street Fighter character when equipped.
In addition to the free event quest, Capcom is also offering a Guild Card background and titles for free. "Hadoken" and "Shoryuken" gestures along with a Street Fighter V sticker set are available as paid DLC.
Although this first Street FIghter V crossover quest is only open to certain PS4 players at the moment, Capcom says it will also become available for everyone on PS4 as well as Xbox One owners at a later date - probably sometime after March 1 when the early access period end. A second round of the Street Fighter V collaboration event is coming later on and will feature a full armor set that will let you look like Sakura.
Meanwhile Monster Hunter: World's second Horizon: Zero Dawn event begins on February 28. Like the first quest, it will be exclusive to PS4 players. This time, players will be required to hunt a giant Anjanath, with the reward being materials to craft Aloy's bow and armor. Equipping the armor will change your hunter's appearance to look like Alloy, regardless of your character's gender.
