Acclaimed developer Naughty Dog is still hard at work on The Last of Us: Part II. Rumor has it that the Santa Monica-based studio is already developing an all-new secret project and they are reportedly casting for in Los Angeles, California. During development on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Naughty Dog said that it would be the end of Drake's journey - and maybe even their last Uncharted game overall.
According to the latest job listings posted on the PlayStation Careers website, Sony is recruiting artists (including Lead QA Tester, Environment Artist Intern, and Senior Gameplay Programmer) for over 90 currently open positions at SIE San Diego Studio, the developer best known for their work on the NBA and MLB series as well as LittleBigPlanet Karting, Drawn to Death, and the canceled Gnomageddon.
"We are looking for a highly talented, motivated and creative Lead Character Artist for the next chapter of cinematic story-telling," Sony's official description of the Lead Character Artist position says, while the new Senior Gameplay Animator at this expanding San Diego studio has to be "an experienced game developer with a penchant for high quality, 3rd person, Action/Adventure games."
Considering that Naughty Dog is already working on a new project that might not be an Uncharted game and SIE San Diego Studio is getting ready to develop the next entry in an established franchise for Sony, there's a big chance that the ModNation Racers: Road Trip studio, that is seemingly jumping on the AAA bandwagon, will work on a fifth Uncharted game with a brand new main protagonist.
