There were plenty of exciting new games announced at PlayStation Experience, but Sony hasn't forgotten about its roots either. The company announced at PlayStation Experience that its classic colorful action-adventure MediEvil is coming to PS4, fully-remastered and in 4K.

The "PS4-grade resurrection" of the original MediEvil arrives just in time for its 20th anniversary, as it was released for the original PlayStation back in 1998.

For those unfamiliar, MediEvil is noteworthy for its unique horror-comedy and its early contributions to the world of 3D gaming.

"As the resurrected Sir Daniel Fortesque, players defend Gallowmere from the evil forces of Zarok, a sorcerer with the power to control the dead," Sony described of the game.

Check out the trailer below and get ready for MediEvil on PS4 sometime in 2018.
