PlayStation 5 was finally launched last week in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea. Unfortunately, Sony's highly anticipated next-gen console has yet to arrive in other countries from Europe, South America, Middle East, and so on.
Long story short, the worldwide release is actually tomorrow, but recent information has revealed that some players have already received their PlayStation 5 console; days before it finally launches on Thursday the 19th of November.
As first spotted by GamesRadar+, the information comes from a thread that was posted this Tuesday on Reddit, in which user NoelJP90 reveals that the PlayStation 5 arrived early in Ireland. On that same thread, other users have revealed that they've already received their console as well.
User Space-Tortoise reveals that retailer Smyths Toys has already sent out PlayStation 5 units in County Calway, Ireland, and that the console had already arrived this past Monday; taking a photo of the console in order to prove that the information was legitimate.
While it was only one extra week that European players have had to endure before getting their hands on their PlayStation 5, it is nice to see that some lucky ones out there have already been able to enjoy their new piece of hardware a little bit earlier that most; the rest of us have to keep patiently waiting until tomorrow for Sony's coveted next-gen console to be delivered.
