In just a few more days, we're finally going to be getting some long-awaited news about the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 — as Sony has announced that a special presentation will be streamed this Thursday; giving us information about upcoming games, for the most part.

Sony has barely revealed any information about the PlayStation 5, but we do know that the new DualSense controller is expected to be a game-changer as far as immersive experiences go, and that is actually great news that even developers are finding exciting.

PlayStation Chief Operating Officer Jim Ryan has recently revealed that they are also excited to show fans what their new console can do, and how they are fixed on giving players something that they'll only be able to find on PlayStation 5.

"We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features," explained Ryan during a recent interview with GamesIndustry.

"We do believe in generations, and whether it's the DualSense controller, whether it's the 3D audio, whether it's the multiple ways that the SSD can be used... we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, something different, that can really only be enjoyed on PS5."

There is still a lot of information that Sony needs to reveal about the PlayStation 5, but it seems that the PlayStation 5's new controller will definitely be essential to make the console stand out from other platforms; particularly Microsoft's Xbox Series X, since the Nintendo Switch is already doing its own thing, and has been in the market for three years now.

This new DualSense can end up being a game-changer and not just a gimmick, but we'll just have to wait until this Thursday to see the new games that developers are working on, and how these will interact with the PlayStation 5's new controller.
