God of War has had a pretty successful launch that came with a lot of great reviews from critics and players alike but, for some players, not everything has been as satisfactory. A bunch of users have noticed that they are having some trouble reading the texts in God of War. This is mainly a problem for users that are not playing the game using a 4K display.
Among the in-game texts that users are having some difficulty reading are the maps, goals, codex and resources tabs, as well as the subtitles, especially when playing away from the TV while sitting on the couch. When addressing this issue, Santa Monica Studio stated that they have added a new slider found in Accessibility that allows players to increase the size of the texts.
According to
IGN, via
Kotaku, the issue is still there since increasing the size doesn't quite fix the problem for some users who still have difficulty reading those texts. This is because turning up the slider seems to magnify the text without making the font size bigger.
Hopefully, Santa Monica Studio manages to fix this issue, but they are aware of the problem and must already know that their initial fix didn't quite solve the problem.
