It's been a helluva long time since we got any significant updates regarding the highly-anticipated sequel to The Last of Us. Thankfully, an evidently excited Naughty Dog developer recently put out a tweet which is keeping hype-levels up.
Asher Einhorn, a designer for The Last of Us Part II, took to social media to proclaim his excitement for the project that he and the rest of Naughty Dog's staff are hard at work making. The tweet read: "I don't think I've ever been more excited about a game I'm working on WHILE I'm actually making it. This thing's going to be freakin' unreal!!"
Einhorn's glee and excitement is certainly contagious given how, as mentioned, we haven't been gifted anything significant Part II-related since E3 back in June. Well, there was Outbreak Day more recently but that only brought us a PlayStation 4 System Theme and a couple of PSN Avatars.
PlayStation Experience isn't on this year so the next time we're likely to hear from Naughty Dog, regarding The Last of Us, is The Game Awards - which take place in a month - fingers crossed they have something to show.
What do you think about Einhorn's tweet? Are you looking forward to The Last of Us Part II?
The Last of Us Part II doesn't currently have a set release date.
