Over the last couple of days we have been getting a lot of information about Naughty Dog's highly anticipated
The Last of Us Part II, including an official release date — which will see the game becoming available, exclusively for the PlayStation 4, on the
21st of February in 2020.
Fans also got to see Joel in the latest trailer for
The Last of Us Part II, which was released during the latest State of Play presentation. Creative Director
Neil Druckmann has even revealed that Joel will play a major part in the game, in spite of the character having barely been mentioned since the game was announced.
What Naughty Dog hasn't shared yet, are details about the gameplay mechanics in
The Last of Us Part II; that is, until now. Today Sony has released a behind the scenes video that has the developers revealing a bunch of details about the game, its characters, and what they have added in regards to the game's controls.
One thing that many fans may have noticed from the gameplay that has been released, is that Ellie is now far more agile than in the first game. The developers have explained that this allows for more interesting level design and puzzles that will keep things familiar but also refreshing.
Don't take my word for it, though, and be sure to check out the latest behind the scenes video for Naughty Dog's
The Last of Us Part II down below.
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 21st of February in 2020.
