A couple of months ago, Square Enix surprised fans of the Kingdom Hearts series by revealing that they were working on a new entry in the popular Disney/Final Fantasy crossover series, and that said title would release at some point in 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in the form of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories isn't your typical role-playing game, though, as it is a rhythm game that will be featuring music from all of the entries in the Kingdom Hearts series, while also managing to tell a story in classic Kingdom Hearts fashion, so this is no sleeper title; although fans of the series probably know this already.
During yesterday's Nintendo Direct Mini, which focused on video games by some of the Tokyo-based company's partners, Nintendo released a new trailer for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories, which revealed that the game will officially be releasing on Friday the 13th of November.
Today, however, Square Enix has released yet another officil trailer for the game's release date, and this trailer is actually different than the one Nintendo released yesterday — which makes sense, considering that the game isn't a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
We do have to warn you, however, that Square Enix's new trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories contains some images that can definitely spoil the ending of Kingdom Hearts III — revealing details about Kairi, Sora, and Riku that players who haven't finished the previous game would not want to have spoiled.
Interestingly enough, the game is releasing on the Nintendo Switch, but most of the previous games in the Kingdom Hearts series have yet o be released on the popular handheld hybrid console, so chances are that most Switch owners will get the ending of the previous game spoiled if they play this one; then again, fans of the series have probably played it any way.
We strongly suggest that, if you still haven't played Kingdom Hearts III, you refrain from watching this new trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories. If yo uhave, then by all means give it a watch, since gameplay alone can make even mainstream players want to try out this new rhythm game.
