While Insomniac Games is set to take on a new franchise with Spider-Man PS4 - which will be drop next month - they've already worked on a number of popular series, including Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank.
But one of the developer's franchises that hasn't had much play in recent years is the Resistance series, whose last entry was released in 2011. So it's not surprising that fans of the title are still wondering if Resistance 3 is the final installment
Fortunately, Insomniac's community director James Stevenson recently commented on the possibility of a Resistance 4 - and it doesn't sound too encouraging.
"It feels like it’s a longshot to me. But I have learned over the years to never say never. I think there are a lot of people out there that have fond memories of a Resistance game from the PS3 era, but yeah, never say never, it’s just that we have no plans to make another Resistance game in the future."
This statement will likely disappoint many fans, but if you're more of a glass-half-full person, you can take comfort in the fact that Stevenson never said a Resistance 4 was outside of the realm of possibility.
