Sony brought out the big guns to celebrate a monumental moment for the industry, which was of course to release a limited edition
Playstation 4 Pro, but most probably didn't expect it to be so limited. In honor of surpassing 500 million consoles sold since the first console back in 1994, they decided to release the
500 Million Limited Edition PS4, but the catch being there were only
50,000 manufactured.
Needless to say, as seen scattered across various forms of social media, the supply was much smaller than the demand. Pre-orders through various venues from GameStop to EB Games across the world went live on
August 24th, and allotted slots quickly filled up, much to the discontent of more avid collectors. Fret not, though, because if you as a fan are just trying to get your hands on anything to celebrate this occasion, the accessories are still available.
The
Playstation Gold Wireless Headset - 500 Million Limited Edition (
$99.99 USD) is still available thru various companies, but that probably won't last long, so be sure to grab one in the coming weeks, or even days if you want to get your hands on something to commemorate this occasion! The
DualShock 4 - 500 Million Limited Edition Controller was originally selling for
$64.99 USD, but it sold out every except
Amazon, where it is currently the last one in stock via Sony retailing for
$299 USD.
