In early 2017, Guerilla Games launched their newest major franchise with the release of
Horizon Zero Dawn. It's a third-person open-world game role-playing game in which you play as a hunter in a world overun with animalistic machines. The title earned quite acclaim and
a virtual-reality spinoff as well as traditional sequel both appear to be in the works.
Horizon Zero Dawn is currently one of the PlayStation 4's many renowned exclusives. However, that might all be about to change. Similar to
Death Stranding; while
Horizon Zero Dawn was once considered just a PlayStation 4 title, it may soon be coming getting a PC release.
Last week, a rumour emerged which claimed that
Horizon Zero Dawn would be coming to PC in February of next year —
find out more on that here. What bolstered this claim is that
Death Stranding recently released on PC and makes use of the same game engine that
Horizon Zero Dawn does — the Decima engine.
At the time, this rumour didn't have that much to it and was rather implausible given that Guerilla Games is totally under the PlayStation banner — while Kojima Productions is only in partnership with PlayStation. However, a reputable industry insider by the name of
Jason Schreier has added some much needed credence to the claim.
Schreier is arugably the most reputable source doing the rounds with countless proven scoops. Recently, Twitter users asked Schreier for his take on the rumours that
Horizon Zero Dawn will be released on PC. According to Schreier, the rumour is warranted and he believes that
Horizon Zero Dawn on PC is indeed a possibility.
