MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales isn't the only game Insomniac Games is releasing this week, as they also announced that a remastered version of the original MARVEL's Spider-Man is also releasing on PlayStation 5.
The remastered version of MARVEL's Spider-Man features enhanced graphics that will make the game look like a proper next-gen title, and will also be including all of the previously released downloadable content; not to mention three new suits for players to have Spider-Man wear at their leisure.
Insomniac Games did reveal, however, that MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered will not be getting a physical release; at least not on its own, since players will be able to purchase the game either digitally or in "physical form" as a bundle with MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.
The developer also had some sour news for those who already own the PlayStation 4 version of the critically acclaimed title, as they revealed that save files would not be transferrable to the MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered, which was probably one of the most disappointing news out of the announcement.
Today, however, things have changed for the better, and we have some great news for those disappointed with the developer's decision. Insomniac Games has officially confirmed that they will be adding the ability to transfer the save data from the PlayStation 4 version of the game to MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered on PlayStation 5.
The good news don't end there, as they developer has also confirmed that all of the three suits that were exclusive to MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered will be added via a free update to the PlayStation 4 version of the game, so players who already own a copy of the original game will not miss out on anything but the remaster's enhanced graphics; that and the redesigned Peter Parker, of course.
Insomniac Games, from the bottom of our hearts, we all thank you for this. You didn't need to add the suits from the remaster, but you decided to do it any way. Our hats are off to you.
