The PlayStation 5 file sizes for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls, two launch titles for Sony's next-gen console, have been revealed.
According to the official PlayStation website, the Ultimate Launch Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales comes in at a whopping 105GB, or roughly 1/8 the space alotted on the PlayStation 5 hard drive. The Ultimate Launch Edition, which is priced at $69.99, comes with the original game remastered plus the Miles Morales experience.
For those who only care about the new story chapter, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Launch Edition will only require 52GB of space.
The website also lists Demon's Souls, a remake of the 2009 PlayStation 3 game, as needing 66GB of space.
If you were to purchase Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition and Demon's Souls digitally at launch, it will require a total of 171GB of storage. If the file sizes don't change between now and launch, that's roughly 20 percent of the PlayStation 5's hard drive split between just two games.
Also available for the PlayStation 5 at or around launch will be Astro's Playroom, Destruction All Stars, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure as well as third-party games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
With both models of the PlayStation 5 only coming with 825GB of space, it sounds like it won't take very long for gamers to hit their max.
