In 2005, Team Ico made one of the most seminal games on the PS2. Shadow of the Colossus was a worthy followup to Ico and cemented the developer's place as an innovator in the genre. 12 years later, Bluepoint Games has been tasked with remaking the original game in accordance with the technical advancements required in today's games.

In the video below, the developers guide us through their process of creating the game's intro. The game looks stunning! Environments have been remade, everything's been re-animated to improve fidelity and the lighting has been tweaked significantly. They've even incorporated new physics for the lead's poncho and horsetail physics for the horse.

The game will also have a new control scheme. The team hopes to have the game run at 60 FPS for the Playstation 4 Pro.

Shadow of The Colossus will be released on February 6th 2018 exclusively on the Playstation 4.
