Early this week, reputable video game industry insider Jason Schreier revealed that a Sony may have been planning to share some information about the highly anticipated, and yet-to-be-unveiled PlayStation 5, and that this new information could be shared as soon as next week.
Schreier claimed that his sources were trustworthy, but Sony Interactive Entertainment had yet to officially confirm or deny these claims.
As it turns out, the sources were as trustworthy as they come, since Sony has now officially announced that a presentation that will reveal more information about the PlayStation 5 will be streamed online on Thursday the 4th of June at 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
Other than the date and time in which this "The Future of Gaming" presentation will be streamed, Sony's announcement is rather vague, however.
According to the report earlier this week, Sony is only showcasing videogames that will be released for the PlayStation 5, but not the console itself. We may get some new information about the console's brand-new controller — renamed from DualShock to DualSense — and how this new device interacts with the upcoming games.
This is definitely some exciting news, especially since we may get some rather interesting information about launch titles. Should we expect MARVEL's Spider-Man 2? Maybe a new Uncharted game? Knack 3? We'll just have to wait and see.
