It's the first Tuesday of the month which means the newest batch of PlayStation Plus games are now available. PlayStation's June lineup free games for the month is headlined by Star Wars: Squadrons.
EA's multiplayer space combat game puts you in the cockpit of some of the most iconic starships in the Star Wars universe. Travel to a galaxy far, far away and partake in thrilling multiplayer dogfights across familiar and never-before-seen locations.
Star Wars: Squadrons offers multiple game modes. Although its bread-and-butter are the intense 5v5 multiplayer dogfights, there is a single-player story set after the events in Return of the Jedi. The campaign sees alternate between the the New Republic's Vanguard Squadron and the Galactic Empire's Titan Squadron, battling over the Republic's secret project known as Starhawk. In addition to the campaign, multiplayer offerings include a standard 5v5 mode as well as larger scale Fleet Battles.
Star Wars: Squadrons released for PlayStation 4, but you can also play it on PS5 via backward compatability. It's available for free until Monday, July 5.
It's just one of three games that are now free for PlayStation Plus members this month. The PS5 version of Operation: Tango, a cooperative spy puzzle game, is also available until July. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, the remake of the classic arcade fighter also makes its console debut this month through PlayStatoin Plus.
