Yesterday, during the first day of the CES 2020 event, Sony unveiled the logo for the highly anticipated, and hopefully soon-to-be-revealed, PlayStation 5. While it wasn't the console reveal that players had been longing for, it was still something to get most fans excited.
In an interesting bit of news, the PlayStation 5's logo has already managed to become the most popular image on Instagram — in less than 48 hours since the logo was officially unveiled; breaking an image likes record on the popular social media platform.
According to Video Games Chronicle, the information was gathered using the
Popsters social media tool, which revealed that the PS5 logo currently has over 5 million likes and 136 thousand comments. The PlayStation 5 logo also, and quite easily managed to surpass the Fortnite x Avengers Endgame crossover announcement — which currently has 2.7 million likes.
There are still a few more days left until the CES 2020 event is over, so fans may still get their wish and finally get to actually see the PlayStation 5. With all that said, chances of Sony finally unveiling their next gen console during this event are pretty high now that they've officially revealed its logo.
