One thing that has kept fans scratching their heads regarding the PlayStation Network Store is how bad the search engine is. What's even more baffling is the fact that this search engine is actually a PlayStation 4 redesign since the store on the PlayStation 3 worked just fine before it was redesigned.

The PlayStation Network Store saw its major redesign in January of 2013; sporting a sleeker design and aiming for a more visual approach than before. The layout looked somewhat better, as well but there was only one problem: the search bar.

PlayStation users may have noticed how bad the search bar for the PlayStation Network Store is/was; especially since it used to work just fine before 2013. This is a recurring problem that Sony has finally decided to address, which makes browsing through the store a breeze.

IGN reports that the update is only available for some players, but it will be available for everyone in the upcoming PlayStation 6.0 firmware update. Some other players were able to get the beta version of the 60 firmware and are able to see the new PlayStation Network Store search engine—which adds a very nice keyboard instead of that awful search bar.
