Peacock has released the official trailer for Twisted Metal, their upcoming post-apocalyptic action-comedy series, which is based on the hit video game series of the same name.
Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick created the series from an original idea, with Michael Jonathan Smith penning the script. Their version will follow "a motor-mouthed outsider (Anthony Mackie) offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief (Stephanie Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown (Samoa Joe) who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck."
The main cast features Anthony Mackie as John Doe, Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, Neve Campbell as Raven, Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth, Will Arnett as the voice of Sweet Tooth, Richard Cabral as Loud, and Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone.
Twisted Metal premieres, exclusively on Peacock, with its ten-episode first season on July 27!
