With The Division 2 set to release in March of next year and top its predecessor, Ubisoft wants as many people as possible to be invested in the apocalyptic world - so they're offering a free-to-play weekend of The Division to PC players and, on top of that, the full game will be 70% off until September 11th.

The opportunity to play The Division for free starts today, beginning at 10am PST / 6pm BST until Sunday, September 9 at 1pm PST / 9pm BST. All that's required is a Uplay account (which is also free). The schedule varies from place to place, so be sure to check out this helpful guide, from Ubisoft, below:

Should the game seem appealing to you, over the course of the free weekend, and want to purchase it in full; Ubisoft explains: "If you like the game and want to keep playing after the Free Weekend period is over, you can transfer your progress to the full game, which will be available for up to 70 percent off along with other products (Gold Edition, Season Pass, DLC) until September 11th on the Ubisoft Store and September 10th on Steam."

Will you be taking advantage of The Division's free weekend? Or perhaps buying the game on account of the 70% off deal?

The Division is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
