Crystal Dynamics Studio Head Draws Comparisons Between MARVEL'S AVENGERS To Their TOMB RAIDER Reboot

The head of Crystal Dynamics recently drew comparisons between the studio's handling of Tomb Raider and their upcoming Marvel's Avengers game. Hit the jump...

Crystal Dynamics are hard at work developing Marvel's Avengers. It's both a singleplayer and multiplayer game based on the team of the same name from Marvel Comics. This isn't the first major, established IP that the studio has revitalised as they're also responsible for the recent Tomb Raider reboot games.

Scot Amos, the studio head of Crystal Dynamics, recently participated in an interview with the official PlayStation Blog wherein he made a comparison between both Marvel's Avengers and their Tomb Raider games. According to Amos, the studio know a thing or two about handling beloved franchises.

"We stake our reputation on it," Amos said before explaining that Crystal Dynamics are all about taking a familiar IP and doing something new and exciting with it. “Just like we approached Lara Croft back in 2013, we want to show the world how we do things in a new and original way.”

Similarly, Amos recently detailed one of the upcoming game's multiplayer modes: Warzones. You can find out more on that by heading over to this article.

Marvel's Avengers is set to release on May 15th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.
