Earlier this month Nintendo announced that
Super Mario Odyssey and
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be compatible with the then-recently revealed Nintendo Labo VR Kit; giving players the chance to immerse themselves even more when playing these games.
The updates that made both games ocmpatible with the new Labo VR were made available on the 25th of April, and players have already been noticing that in
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild loading times are much faster than they were before.
Twitter user @Pikastroff uploaded a couple of clips that showed the differences in loading times when leaving one of the shrines in
Breath of the Wild, as well as when leaving these areas; confirming that loading times are almost 10 seconds faster than in the previous update.
According to Kotaku, some players have also noticed faster loading times in
Super Mario Odyssey, but we still don't have side-by-side comparisons like the ones posted by Pikastroff. Besides faster loading times, the update doesn't seem to have improved other performance issues like
Breath of the Wild's occasional frame drops; at least not that we know of yet.
No kingdom. No memories. After a 100-year slumber, Link wakes up alone in a world he no longer remembers. Now the legendary hero must explore a vast and dangerous land and regain his memories before Hyrule is lost forever.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
