To round out their E3 2019 conference, Microsoft debuted a brand new trailer for the next instalment in the Halo series.

Focusing on the game's story, the trailer sees an engineer discover Master Chief as he floats adrift through space. He quickly manages to reboot his armour and revive the iconic Spartan. The game's protagonist appears to slot the Cortana AI back into his helmet, then looks out into space to see that the titular Halo ring has been destroyed.

Alongside the new trailer, Microsoft confirmed that the highly anticipated sequel will release in holiday 2020 alongside their next-generation console which is currently known as Project Scarlett. You can find out more information on that console here.
