Microsoft has released the Games With Gold lineup for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, allegedly providing over $64 dollars in value and up to 3400 in gamerscore. While the subscription and Xbox 360 owners don't have many reasons to complain, those who would like to check out some current-gen titles on their Xbox One systems won't be very happy as Microsoft's offer includes only small indie titles.
July's 2018 Games with Gold lineup for Xbox One includes
Assault Android Cactus and
Death Squared.
Assault Android Cactus is a crucially acclaimed arcade style twin stick shooter allowing you to pick from one of nine unique synthetic heroines and blast your way through overwhelming robots hordes to save the ship from its own workforce and it supports single player and local co-op game modes, while
Death Squared is a co-op puzzle game about cooperation, communication, and robot explosions.
The situation looks a lot better at the Xbox 360 side, as Games with Gold will let you to revisit two big-budget titles -
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, followed by
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction. Thankfully, both games will be playable through the Xbox One backward compatibility initiative. Right now, Xbox Live Gold members can grab Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia and
Smite Gold Bundle for Xbox One, as well as
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for Xbox 360.
