Ubisoft Montreal's
Far Cry: New Dawn launched last Friday, featuring plenty of pretty clever Easter Eggs tucked away in the post-apocalyptic world. While some of them are related to movies (including one about the "
I don't feel so good" line from
Avengers: Infinity War), Ubisoft has also decided to toy with the
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell fandom once again, hitting again at a brand new game with Sam Fisher.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet,
Splinter Cell 8 had leaked right before the start of E3 2018 and has been teased countless times by Amazon (and not only the famous Canadian division), but also Ubisoft themselves. In
New Dawn, you can even explore the C-147B Paladin from
Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which was your main base of operation, and find Fisher's classic suit just waiting for you.
The suit's description reads as follows: "
Fisher's on the loose! I heard something. Better not be Fisher. Fisher wouldn't try his luck here, would he? That'd be f*cking crazy! Fisher, Fisher, Fisher!" In case these lines don't ring any bells, they were used countless times in 2010's
SC: Conviction by enemies on almost every single level, changing the threat into disorienting, confusingly psychotic, name-dropping.
Furthermore, the new
Far Cry game features a series of letters scattered throughout the radioactive world that might have been written by Fisher. Be sure to take a closer look at the suit down below:
Dive into a transformed vibrant post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, 17 years after a global nuclear catastrophe. Join fellow survivors and lead the fight against the dangerous new threat the Highwaymen, and their ruthless leaders The Twins, as they seek to take over the last remaining resources.
Far Cry: New Dawn is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
