After a total of six multiplayer maps, one new game mode, and 250 achievement points since Gears of War launched in November of 2006, Epic has recently told IGN, "We don't have anything planned for [Gears of War] right now in terms of DLC."
Though both Microsoft and Epic left the door open to the possibility of new content could being released in the future, it looks doubtful.
With their work on the Unreal Tournament III's console port, and a certain sequel due sometime soon, Epic is undoubtedly busy.
It's been more than six months since the last downloadable content was released for GoW. Despite this, Gears remains one of the most played Xbox Live games, consistently coming in the top five.
