The Coalition have announced some great news about their upcoming Gears 5 game (via DualShockers).
In a new blog post on the official site for the upcoming Gears of War game, the studio confirmed that they will not be offering a season pass this time around. Additionally, Gear Packs will also be absent from this new instalment in the Xbox-exclusive series.
It's said that all DLC maps that will be added to Gears 5 post-launch will be 100% free. That's both for online matchmaking as well as private play. You can find out more about the changes to Gears 5's multiplayer system here.
This is certainly a welcome change given the gaming industry's current obsession with season passes, loot boxes, and other money grubbing schemes.
Gears of War 5 will officially release for Xbox One and PC on September 10th, 2019.
