Back in April, we reported that "an UK Studio" is working on a Fable game codenamed "Wisdom." Considering that the series original producer, Lionhead Studios, was closed down in 2016, it was clear that Microsoft would hire a brand new development team to produce the game. Earlier this year, Playground Games confirmed that they're working on an RPG, with Xbox One X as the leading platform.
To handle the development duties on that RPG, the developer of the critically acclaimed Forza: Horizon series (the fourth entry in the racing series launched last week and gathered an universal praise from both critics and players) is currently looking for 177 new talents to help the core team in Royal Leamington Spa to develop the game. Playground Games' offer includes positions for Senior Animator, Lead Character Artist, Concept Artist, Senior Environment Artist, Gameplay Engineer, and many more.
This "entirely new AAA open world action / RPG project" might be announced during Microsoft's X0 expo, which will be taking place in November, but it's safe to say that it probably won't happen, as the potential Fable 4 is still in an eary stage of development. The fact that Microsoft is already developing the successor of Xbox One makes us think that the Fable 3 sequel may very well be a next-gen project.
