When
DMC developer Ninja Theory released
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice last year, few in the gaming community were expecting such a mature, nuanced exploration of mental illness set within the parameters of the action-adventure genre. It was widely assumed that the game would remain exclusive to the Playstation 4 in the console market. Today, it's been revealed that this may not be the case.
According to
Gematsu, the Taiwan Game Software Rating Information Board put up a rating for an Xbox One version thus revealing an ongoing initiative to port the game.
In addition, the Australian Classification Board has also posted a
rating for the game.
Ninja Theory has yet to comment on the matter. However, the fact that 2 countries have already posted ratings for the same game within days of each other strongly hints at the possibility of a soon-to-be announced Xbox One port of the game. We hope this is the case as Xbox One gamers need to have a go at one of the best gaming experiences of last year.
