Xbox One Has Outsold The PlayStation 4 In The US For The Fourth Month In A Row
Over the past couple of years, the PS4 has seemingly become the go to system for gamers. However, the tide now appears to be turning as Xbox One sales are suddenly on the increase. Hit the jump for details!
VideoGamer reports that the Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 in October for the fourth month in a row in the US. Specific sales figures haven't been revealed, but Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols has issued a statement revealing that the Xbox One was, "once again the best-selling console in October in the US, UK and Australia according to NPD Group GfK Entertainment." That's an impressive feat!
Nichols went on to add that, "Xbox One has been the best-selling console in the U.S. for the past four months, and in the U.K. and Australia in each of the last two months." So, why the sudden shift? It's hard to say, but it's interesting to note that the PS4 Slim model doesn't seem to have helped Sony get back to the top spot; there's a good chance that the recent launch of the PS4 Pro could change that.
First party titles like Gears of War 4 and Forza have no doubt helped, but it will be interesting to see who comes out on top as we move into this year's holiday season. Are you team PS4 or Xbox One?
