The eSports business is well on its way to becoming a multibillion-dollar industry, and Bulkhead Interactive appears to be making this dream a true reality faster than expected. You see, the company recently announced that it plans to invest $650,000 into eSports.
From what we've come to understand, the money will be pumped into the studios World War 2 shooter, Battalion 1944. Not only that, it plans for more eSports funding in the future beyond its 12-month roadmap.
Now, whatever eSport plans Bulkhead Interactive is planning, we do know the FaceIt Pro-Series tournament will be an important aspect of the plans, at least for now. Open League and Blitzkrieg Premier are also on the cards, so fans of eSports should begin preparations.

What’s next? We’re serious about growing Battalion from its grass routes beginnings, as a competitive shooter, over the next year and beyond. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be committing $650,000 towards the growth of multiple Battalion esports events. This doesn’t mean this is the only funding available for the future of Battalion, as things grow we intend to also grow our support of the competitive community.
