Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok has won just about everything there is to win in esports, and now he has something few gamers ever get. Korea Post officially released a set of commemorative stamps celebrating the T1 superstar today, and fans were lined up at Seoul Central Post Office to get their hands on them.
The stamps honor Faker's career in League of Legends and are being sold at post offices across South Korea as well as through Korea Post's online shop.
What The Faker Stamps Look Like
The release is a sheet of 10 stamps, each priced at 500 won. Every stamp measures 35 by 35 millimeters, and the set was designed by Kim Mi-hwa and printed by Cartor.
The designs feature Faker alongside champions tied to some of the most important moments of his career. That includes his Immortal Legend Ahri skin, which came from his induction into the League of Legends Hall of Legends, as well as the T1 Yone skin connected to the team's 2024 World Championship win. The Prestige T1 Sylas skin also appears, tied to his Finals MVP performance, along with Galio from the 2017 World Championship run.
Korea Post is offering the stamps in a few different formats for collectors. Alongside the standard sheets, there are stamp albums and a very limited run of metal stamp cards, with just 507 produced. Korean outlets reported that around 140,000 sheets were made available, which means the stamps should be easier to find than the metal cards, though some fans clearly were not taking any chances based on this morning's lines.
A Career Worth Celebrating
Faker debuted in 2013 and won the World Championship in his very first season. Since then he has added a record six Worlds titles in total, two Mid-Season Invitational trophies and 10 LCK championships, all with the same T1 organization.
His influence has also grown well beyond the game. He helped South Korea win gold at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, where esports was a medal event for the first time, and added another gold at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. In 2024, he became the first player ever inducted into Riot's League of Legends Hall of Legends.
Earlier this year, Faker also became the first esports player to receive the Cheongnyong Medal, South Korea's highest honor for sports achievement. The stamps add another milestone to that list and highlight how much mainstream recognition esports has gained in Korea over the past decade.
Now 30 years old, Faker is still competing at the highest level with T1, and fans continue to treat every new achievement as a chance to celebrate the player many call the greatest of all time.
Faker Exhibition In Seoul
The stamps are not the only thing fans can check out. Korea Post has also set up a special Faker exhibition at the Korea Postage Stamp Museum inside Seoul Central Post Office. The exhibition celebrates his career with memorabilia and displays, giving fans who come out for the stamps another reason to stick around.
Seoul Central Post Office was also the spot where fans gathered today to pick up the stamps as soon as they went on sale. Photos from the scene showed a line of supporters waiting to buy their sheets.
Commemorative stamps in South Korea are usually reserved for major national figures, historic events and cultural milestones, so seeing a professional gamer get the honor is a big moment for esports in general. For T1 fans, it is a collectible that will likely be tough to track down once the first run sells out.
Would you want to collect the Faker stamps for yourself, or would you rather grab a T1 jersey as your Faker keepsake?
