It seems FaZe Clan's recent acquisition of Niko couldn't secure them a first place finish at the Intel Extreme Master Katowice as Astralis' Peter Dupreeh Rothmann proved that the headshot is everything in a particularly intense grand finals round match. What makes this feat particularly impressive is that Astralis was on the ropes after losing the previous round to FaZe, with the squad only able to afford pistols versus the machine guns and rifles wielded by FaZe.

The  Intel Extreme Master in Katowice, Polan concluded on Sunday, dolling out a total prize pool of $650,000 - with $250,000 reserved for Counter Strike: Go, another $250,000 for Star Craft II and $150,000 for League of Legends.

For the CS:Go bracket, 1st place finisher Astralis took home $104,000 while FaZe received $44,000 for finishing second.   Third place finishers Immortals took home $24,000.
