A bunch of independent developers took the opportunity to show off some of their upcoming games during Nintendo's special Indie World that was livestreamed earlier today, and there are a handful of games that will be releasing in the near future that will get players excited.
Adamgryu's critically acclaimed A Short Hike is one of the many games that were showcased today, and that have been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch. The best news is that the game wasn't only announced today, but it was also made available right after the presentation was over.
A Short Hike is an action-adventure platformer game with a very charming art style, that gives players freedom to explore a beautiful mountain in order to unwind and relax; not to mention that it features a phenomenal soundtrack that further enhances the already enjoyable experience.
The game was originally released in July of 2019 for Windows 10, macOS, and Linux. With the Nintendo Switch version becoming available today, the game has finally made its home console debut. So far, it is unknown whether A Short Hike will also be announced for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but Nintendo Switch owners will be able to pick it up today from the eShop for $7.19USD.
