The Game Kitchen and Team 17's Blasphemous was announced just a couple of months ago, although we didn't get an official release date for the game; with the trailer revealing that it would be coming out soon.

Today, the game's publisher has finally revealed that the punishing platformer action game will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) on the 10th of September.

It is worth mentioning that this information was revealed during the Nintendo Indie World presentation, where it was stated that Blasphemous would be releasing on the 26th of September and not the 10th, so Nintendo Switch players may have to wait a little bit more for the title to release; unless it was just a mistake, of course.

Check it out:

Prepare for a descent into a dark and punishing Metroidvania world where fast-paced, skilled combat combines with a deep and evocative narrative core. You will play as The Penitent One, a sole survivor of the massacre of the ‘Silent Sorrow’. Exploring the nightmarish world of Cvstodia and unlocking the hellish secrets within, only you can free it from a twisted fate and reach the origin of your torment.

Blasphemous will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 10th of September.
