Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX is a spin-off title in the
Azure Striker Gunvolt series developed by Inti Creates, which are games inspired by popular Capcom series like
Mega Man,
Mega Man X, and
Mega Man Zero; borrowing the some of the best elements from these titles.
Announced last year in May,
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX will see players taking control of Copen, who ian Adept Slayer and rival of Gunvolt in the original series, and going through some action-packed levels in the most classic 2D platformer fashion.
Inti Creates has recently announced that they have partnered up with Limited Run Games to give the upcoming
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
While the game won't be releasing until the
26th of September, Inti Creates has revealed that orders for both the standard and collector's editions of
Gunvolt Chonicles: Luminous Avenger iX will open on the
27th of August.
The
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX Collector's Edition will be including a Lola Pod enamel pin, the game's original soundtrack, and an 18"x24" double-sided poster.
Since its inception, the Gunvolt series has become known among fans for its high-speed, stylish 2D action. This game will see series rival/anti-hero Copen take the lead and push the series’ speed and intensity to the next level, all the while keeping the game accessible to new fans.
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on the 26th of September.
