While Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are waiting with bated breath to see Monica Rambeau's Photon return to the big screen in this year's The Marvels, lovers of the character can experience her this month when she blasts her way into the Battleworld in MARVEL Contest of Champions.
While Photon heads to help Reed, the Kree sends an equally powerful villain, the Inhuman Vox. While Photon is a science-based addition, the latter is cosmic-based, to no surprise. Even though the characters aren't going to be available until the 18th for Photon and the 31st for Vox, Kabam is kicking off the month with a trailer showing the two battle one another to preview what to expect and to wet the whistles of mobile gamers.
Below we have included images of the formidable villain Vox as well as the indomitable hero Photon to give a proper look at the two's figures before viewing their fight.
Quite clearly, Vox is above while Photon glows with cosmic energy in the following image.
Meanwhile, the full battle trailer entitled Vanishing Point shows off the moves and skills of each of the new MARVEL Contest of Champions entering the Battleworld is included below with the full synopsis. Be sure to check it out and share your thoughts on these additions in the comments section!
Reed Richards and Galan scramble to plant a World Seed on Battleworld, in the hopes that a new World Tree will produce enough planets to satiate the world-devourer's hunger. Miles above them, Nova recruits PHOTON alongside several heroes from his past to form a new Nova Corps and give Reed and Galan some support.
However, the Kree have become aware of the heroes' plan, and wish to take the newly-born World Tree for themselves. With VOX, their new super-inhuman weapon, they just might have the upper hand. Will our heroes' combined strength be enough to protect the World Tree, or will The Contest, and everything in it, be consumed by the terror that is Galactus? Find out in VANISHING POINT!
MARVEL Contest Of Champions is now available for mobile gaming and will release Photon and Vox on August 17th and 31st respectively.
