The highly anticipated open beta for Battlefield 6 is scheduled to begin this week. A two-day Early Access period will kick things off and roll seamlessly into the first weekend of the full open beta. There will also be a second weekend of full public access later this month.
The Early Access period is exclusive to Battlefield Labs members, EA Play Pro subscribers, and thsoe who secured codes by watching streamers during the multiplayer reveal event last week. However, it's not too late to get a code if you missed out. It was confirmed this week that you can unlock the Open Beta Early Access by sipmly watching 30 minutes of any creator streaming Battlefield 6 on Twitch during August 7-8.
When does Battlfield 6 Open Beta Early Access unlock?
For those who are waiting to jump in, Early Access will officially open up on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 08:00 UTC. That's 1:00 a.m. PDT / 4:00 a.m. EDT on August 7th in North America. Full global start times are as follows:
- PDT (U.S. West) - August 7, 1:00 a.m.
- MDT/CDT - August 7, 2:00 a.m. / 3:00 a.m.
- EDT (U.S. East) - August 7, 4:00 a.m.
- BST (UK) - August 7, 9:00 a.m.
- CEST - August 7, 10:00 a.m.
- JST - August 7, 17:00
The Early Access period will run from August 7-8 and then roll into Weekend 1 of the official Open Beta, which will be open and available to anyone who wants to play. There will be no codes required to jump into the Open Beta one it launches. Weekend 1 will official begin on Saturday, August 9 at 08:00 UTC and will continue until Monday, August 11th.
If you're unable to play this weekend, a second weekend of the open beta will run from August 14-17, with the same start times.
Battlefield 6's open beta will feature three playable maps: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive. Each map has been designed and optimized for different modes. The first weekend beta will include the Conquest, Closed Weapons Breakthrough, and Breakthrough game modes. The second weekend will add Rush and Squad Deathmatch.
EA has already confirmed that there will be no Non-Disclosure Agreement. This means you'll be free to stream, create videos and content, and post feedback and impressions at any time during the Early Access and Open Beta.
Battlefield 6 is officially set to launch on October 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As of this writing, the only confirmed beta weekends will take place in August.
