Developer Jam City has announced that Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will debut on April 25, 2018, on both iOS and Android. But what's even better is the fact that the actors from the beloved film series will reprise their roles in the upcoming mobile game, so you will have a chance to meet Michael Gambon's Professor Dumbledore, Dame Maggie Smith's Professor McGonagall, and Warwick Davis' Professor Flitwick one more time on the small screen!
The full list of film actors lending their talent is as follows:
Dame Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall
Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore
Warwick Davis as Professor Flitwick the charms master
Sally Mortemore as Madam Irma Pince the librarian
Gemma Jones as Madam Pomfrey the matron
Zoe Wanamaker as Madam Hooch the flying instructor
The game is described as a “
narrative adventure with RPG elements”, allowing you to create your very own hero and take with him/her classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learning simple spells and doing stuff you've seen on the big screen. “
Our goal with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts,” said Chris DeWolfe, Jam City’s CEO.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student. The game will launch under Portkey Games, a new label dedicated to creating experiences inspired by the magic and adventures of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
