Heroes (and villains), it's time to assemble. Marvel's newest mobile game
MARVEL Strike Force is now available for iOS and Android devices. As
previously detailed, this is a new squad-based superhero RPG that tasks you with assembling a team of the most powerful Marvel heroes and villains to battle side-by-side against Ultimus, the Kree Warlord, and his deadly army.
MARVEL Strike Force launches with 64 collectible characters available, including the Avengers, Defenders, and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as classic Marvel characters like Spider-Man and Punisher. Additionally, there are some special characters like Night Nurse and Crossbones, and a number of faction characters to support your leaders, ranging from Hand ninjas to Ravagers to Hydra soldiers and S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives. Of course, developer FoxNext Games has plans to release additional characters in the future, starting with around two per month.
Your goal is to build the dream team of Marvel heroes and villains in order to defeat Ultimus and his forces. As Creative Director Jason Bender explains,
"Strategy is at the core, so it’s all about creating a squad out of characters that work well together. They have to have the right combination of abilities to overcome the challenge before them, so players will need to field surprising combinations of characters, including heroes and villains that we don’t usually see working together."
A launch trailer showcasing the action-packed turn-based combat was released alongside the game today.
MARVEL Strike Force is free-to-play and now available on iOS and Android.
